Mental Health Matters: Invisible Battle For 1000 Millions

Daily writing prompt
What’s something most people don’t understand?

Mental Health. It’s Not a Vibe. It’s Real.

If you broke your leg, people would rush to get you ice, bandages, sympathy, and maybe a “get well soon” chocolate cake.
But if you say, “I feel broken inside,”
You get:

“Cheer up yaar, it’s all in your head.”
(Yes, that’s the whole point. It is in my head. That’s where my brain lives.)

Mental health is not a mood. Not a fashion trend. Not a Gen Z buzzword.
It’s health. Full stop. Period. The end. 🎤

🧠 You Can’t See It. So You Judge It.

Mental health is the only illness where if someone says they’re struggling,
the world goes into detective mode:

“But you were laughing at the party last night!”
“You look fine to me.”
“You posted memes yesterday!”

Listen,
you can post memes AND feel miserable.
It’s called dual-core processing. Even phones have it.

💥 Depression Isn’t Drama. Anxiety Isn’t Laziness. Healing Isn’t Linear.

“Just meditate, go on a trip, think positive!”
Thanks, Swami Googleananda.
I’ll just manifest my serotonin next time.

This isn’t about being sad over cold coffee.
It’s about waking up with heaviness you can’t explain.
Smiling while your insides are hosting a war.
Functioning on the outside. Glitching on the inside.

Mental illness is not attention-seeking.
Not weakness.
Not a vibe.
It’s a silent hurricane.

🎭 “But They Look So Happy…” — Famous Last Words Before Ignoring Someone’s Pain

Tom looked fine before Jerry dropped an iron on his head.
Chandler Bing cracked 7 jokes per minute—but behind the scenes? Pain.
So maybe stop expecting people to look depressed to be taken seriously.

You don’t need a plaster on your brain to ask for help.

❤️ Mental Health ≠ Just Mind. It’s Soul, Body, Life, Everything.

  • It’s the reason you don’t feel like getting up.
  • It’s why that message stays unread.
  • It’s why someone smiles and goes quiet five seconds later.
  • It’s why someone disappears—not to ghost you—but to survive.

If physical health is about healing wounds,
Mental health is about surviving what doesn’t bleed.

💭 “Mental Health Matters” – A Poem for the Invisible Battles

Mental health matters, even when it’s quiet,
When the loudest storm is in your head’s riot.
Smiles can lie, tears don’t show—
But pain? It sits where no one will go.

Mental health matters, more than you know,
It’s not just breakdowns or feeling “low.”
It’s waking up tired from fighting all night,
It’s faking “I’m fine” with all of your might.

It’s overthinking texts you never sent,
Laughing out loud while feeling bent.
It’s the guilt for resting, the fear of fun,
It’s wishing to pause while forced to run.

Mental health matters, but no one can see,
There’s no plaster, no crutch, no X-ray degree.
So people assume, judge, ignore or chat—
“Maybe they’re lazy?”
No love, they’re just flat.

And healing?
Healing isn’t yoga in the hills.
It’s crying mid-laundry. It’s skipped vitamin pills.
It’s therapy, silence, canceling the crowd—
It’s choosing your peace, and that should be allowed.

So when in doubt, remember this rule:
Not all wounds show up after school.
Mental health matters, in all that you do—
For them, for me, and yes—for you

🧘 Final Thought: If Someone Says “I’m Not Okay” — BELIEVE THEM.

You don’t need to understand it.
You just need to not dismiss it.
Because sometimes, listening without fixing is the most powerful thing you can do.

And if you’re the one fighting silently—
You’re not weak. You’re a freakin’ warrior in disguise.
Armored with awkward smiles, delayed texts, and invisible battles.

💬 Yours in empathy, dark jokes, and occasional breakdowns,

🚀 Lucifer Morningstar
