Fun – A Subjective Thing
Some people climb mountains, run marathons, or post #Wanderlust selfies on Instagram. Me? I prefer caffeine, creativity, and chaos (not necessarily in that order). Here are 5 things I do for fun, guaranteed to make me laugh, think, and occasionally question my life choices.
1. Blogging: Typing Out My Therapy
Blogging is my playground, my soapbox, and occasionally my therapist. Where else can you rant about the existential crisis caused by smartphones or dig deep into life lessons from Tom and Jerry without someone asking, “Are you okay?” Blogging is one of the 5 Things I Do for Fun.
Why is it fun? Because it’s like shouting into the void but with the hope someone out there nods and says, “Same.” Plus, sarcasm needs an outlet, and this is mine.
2. Reading: Escaping Reality Since Forever
Books are my ticket out of this world. Whether it’s a gripping thriller, a mysterious conspiracy à la Dan Brown, or an Agatha Christie whodunit, reading lets me live a thousand lives without leaving my couch. This is another one of the 5 Things I Do for Fun.
Why is it fun? Because for a few hours, I’m not just a person with a to-do list—I’m solving murders, uncovering secrets, and maybe even saving the world. No passport required.
3. Drinking Coffee: My Legal Addiction
Coffee is my ride-or-die. It’s not just a beverage; it’s my life force. Whether it’s black coffee that fuels my late-night blogging or a casual cup that accompanies my Dan Brown rereads, coffee and I are inseparable. Among the 5 Things I Do for Fun, drinking coffee is a key activity.
Why is it fun? Because coffee doesn’t judge. It just sits there, hot and comforting, whispering, “You got this, champ.”
4. Playing Guitar: My Noise Therapy
Some people meditate. I strum. My guitar isn’t just an instrument; it’s my escape hatch. It lets me play out my feelings—whether it’s a soulful tune or a chaotic mess that only I can appreciate. Playing guitar ranks high among the 5 Things I Do for Fun.
Why is it fun? Because it’s the one thing in life that doesn’t require perfection. Also, it’s a great way to convince people you’re deep and mysterious (even if you’re just playing Smoke on the Water for the 100th time).
5. Listening to Music: My Portable Mood Booster
Music is my eternal companion. It’s the background score to my daily dramas, making everything—yes, even washing dishes—feel cinematic. Whether it’s rock, jazz, or guilty-pleasure pop, music turns every moment into a mini concert. Of the 5 Things I Do for Fun, listening to music is a must-have.
Why is it fun? Because it’s the only thing that doesn’t ghost you, doesn’t ask for anything, and knows just how to set the mood—even if that mood is “Dance Like Nobody’s Watching.”
Your Turn:
So, there you have it—my fun list. What’s on yours? Is it as coffee-fueled and chaos-filled as mine, or do you prefer adventures that involve heights and heart rates? Share your thoughts, because life’s too short to not laugh about it.
Yours in sarcasm, caffeine, and catchy guitar riffs,
Lucifer Morningstar
